Maplewood Academy Capital Campaign
For Maplewood Academy to continue to fulfill its God-given mission to work towards the education and salvation of the young people entrusted to us, a new cafeteria building is vital. The need for these funds is urgent. For construction to begin this summer, the funds must be raised this spring for 70% of the building cost. Please prayerfully consider how you might be able to contribute to this exciting project that will support the entire Minnesota Conference, as Maplewood is the location for conference events such as camp meetings, music fest, and various Pathfinder events. Thank you in advance for your support for the young people of Minnesota and the surrounding areas.

You can benefit by supporting God’s work in Minnesota through a Donor-Advised Fund!
Are you anticipating a financial windfall event such as an inheritance, the sale of a business, or the sale of real estate other than your residence? Were you aware that you can save a lot of money on taxes and increase your impact through giving at the same time by using a donor-advised fund? A DAF allows you to recommend grants to one or more your favorite ministries like your local church, school, MWA, North Star Camp, or others over time, so you can effectively pre-fund years of giving with assets from a single high-income event. When you give appreciated assets such as stocks, bonds, real estate, or other property directly to a DAF, you can avoid paying capital gains taxes. You’ll also receive an immediate income tax deduction, and if you can’t use the entire deductible amount in the year you make the gift it can be carried over for five additional years. The Minnesota Conference has some great options for Donor-Advised Funds including one with a minimum gift requirement value of only $1,000. For more information on how you can support our ministries while taking advantage of significant tax savings, contact the Gift Planning & Trust Services department today at (763) 424-8923, or learn more on our website at www.mnsdagift.org.
